Product Description

  • 5 to 1 concentrate (5 parts soda water to 1 part syrup)
  • Only dispense the amount you want to mix a drink, no waste and save money
  • Now you can always have fresh soda on demand
  • Stop having to carry home cans and bottles
  • No waste (box and bag are recyclable)
  • Made for soda fountains, but works great with SodaStream products
  • Each 1 gallon bag-in-box syrup (when mixed at recommended ratio) yields 6 gallons of soda when used with a soda dispenser.
  • The 1 gallon is a smaller box size which allows you to keep more flavors on hand.

Tap valve: Requires the Basic Tap Valve or QCD Tap Valve
Connector for Soda Dispenser: Requires Grey QCD

Ingredients: High Fructose Corn Syrup, Cane Sugar, Filtered Water, Essential Oils, Natural & Artificial Flavors, Propylene Glycol, Methyl Salicilate, Modified Food Starch, Phosphoric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Vanillin, Sodium Benzoate (as a preservative)

** For those wanting to use this product for Soda Stream or other like ways:
  • To use this product, you can either purchase a BIB Basic tap valve (also sold by Syrup Supply) to help make for easy dispensing in original box, OR you could simply remove the bag from the box, cut a SMALL hole in the corner of the bag, and CAREFULLY pour product into a different container for easy storage and dispensing. (Syrup Supply is not liable for spillage mishaps, as this is not the intended use.)
  • Although this syrup CAN be used with SodaStream, it is meant for REAL Soda dispensers (ones you would see in restaurant, fast food, and bars). All bag-in-box syrup is 5 to 1 concentrate. SodaStream Syrup is 23 to 1. So you WILL need more syrup than what a SodaStream user would be use to.
  • SodaStream makes their syrup 23 to 1 by adding a lot of diet sweetener, (even to their sugar based products), which is why most people prefer real syrup
  • Mixing Example, if you have 25 oz of water you would use 5 oz of syrup. You may add or subtract syrup to your own personal taste.
  • With SodaStream you may need to tilt the bottle back and forth a bit to be sure it is mixed properly. BIB syrup is thicker (because it's got more sugar) than SodaStream's syrup, so mixing may take a bit more effort. (with exception of Diet BIB syrups)
  • 1 gallon of BIB syrup should produce about 6 gallons of finished product, so that means about 22 liters for SodaStream

  1. Better than the average Root Beer 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th May 2015

Good root beer. I might add that what I did was simply remove that inner core piece and then it can easily pour out of the opening where the cap goes. You can also put the cap back on, but I had 1 ea 1/2 gallon jug and a couple of quart plastic containers that I just moved the syrup into there. MAKE the 1/2 Gal and the other full! Keep the partial refrigerated all the time. Also makes for better soda if both the syrup (wheter Root Beer, Cola, or other) if they are cold like the water for carbonating.

  2. VERY good root beer! 5 Star Review

This tastes like most of the soda fountain root beers. I found that if you want it to taste more like A&W or some others, merely add a few drops of real vanilla extract into the syrup before adding the carbonated water (Soda Stream) Makes quite a difference.
