Product Description

  • 5 to 1 concentrate (5 parts soda water to 1 part syrup)
  • Only dispense the amount you want to mix a drink, no waste and save money
  • Now you can always have fresh soda on demand
  • Stop having to carry home cans and bottles
  • No waste (box and bag are recyclable)
  • Made for soda fountains, but works great with SodaStream products
  • Each 5 gallon bag-in-box syrup (when mixed at recommended ratio) yields 30 gallons of soda when used with a soda dispenser.
Tap valve: Requires the QCD Tap Valve or Pepsi Encore tap valve
Connector for Soda Dispenser: Requires Grey QCD or Pepsi Encore QCD
Ingredients: Water, Caramel Color, Phosphoric Acid, Natural & Artificial Flavors, Aspartame, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Benzoate (as preservative), Caffeine, Acesulfame Potassium, Sucralose, Dimethylketonurics
** For those wanting to use this product for Soda Stream or other like ways:
  • To use this product, you can either purchase a BIB Basic tap valve (also sold by Syrup Supply) to help make for easy dispensing in original box, OR you could simply remove the bag from the box, cut a SMALL hole in the corner of the bag, and CAREFULLY pour product into a different container for easy storage and dispensing. (Syrup Supply is not liable for spillage mishaps, as this is not the intended use.)
  • Although this syrup CAN be used with SodaStream, it is meant for REAL Soda dispensers (ones you would see in restaurant, fast food, and bars). All bag-in-box syrup is 5 to 1 concentrate. SodaStream Syrup is 23 to 1. So you WILL need more syrup than what a SodaStream user would be use to.
  • SodaStream makes their syrup 23 to 1 by adding a lot of diet sweetener, (even to their sugar based products), which is why most people prefer real syrup
  • Mixing Example, if you have 25 oz of water you would use 5 oz of syrup. You may add or subtract syrup to your own personal taste.
  • With SodaStream you may need to tilt the bottle back and forth a bit to be sure it is mixed properly. BIB syrup is thicker (because it's got more sugar) than SodaStream's syrup, so mixing may take a bit more effort. (with exception of Diet BIB syrups)
  • 5 gallon of BIB syrup should produce about 30 gallons of finished product, so that means about 113 liters for SodaStream

  3. Good stuff - perfectly craft your very own soda! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Oct 2013

Works great for the sodastream maker - start with 5:1 as suggested and then adjusted to taste. Add a little cherry syrup for an extra yummy drink. Great product, shipping is reasonably fast, and so far, has always been delivered in perfect condition.

2 notes: 1- can't use the same BIB as what works for 1-gal box previously (at least, as of Jan 2013), and 2- pulling the nozzle out of the box is a pain - the perforations aren't good enough to make it tear easily. I've had to very very carefully score the top of the cardboard with a knife, then tear.
